The 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt for children of the Kalona community will be held Saturday morning, April 20, at the Kalona Historical Village grounds, 715 D Avenue.

Doors to the Village Welcome Center will open at 10 a.m.

There will be 3,000 eggs for the children to hunt by the following age groups: 1 to 3, 4 to 7 and 8 to 10.  Most of the eggs are plastic eggs filled with candy.

Bring your own baskets or bags.

There will be volunteers on the grounds to assist the children.

There will also be a variety of activities for the children including coloring eggs, other coloring activities, crafts, tattoos, games and a petting zoo.

A lunch will also be served. This includes hot dogs, chips, cookie (donated by Subway) plus a drink.

There will be freewill donation with the proceeds going to help finance next year’s Easter Egg Hunt and activities.

Sponsors of this year’s Easter Egg Hunt are Kalona Optimist Club, Kalona Rotary Club, CBI Bank & Trust, Hills Bank & Trust Co., Kalona Cooperative Technology Company, Mercy Family Practice, and Caseys General Store.
