In order to accommodate her growing floral business, Amy Helmuth has moved her Petals Floral & Gifts shop to an expanded location at 110 1st Street (Highway 1). The shop is next door to Kalona Auto Used Cars, which is owned by her husband, Clint.
The new Petals Floral & Gift shop is now in the same location that Niff’s Nature Nook used to be when the building was the home of the former Kalonial Townhouse Restaurant.
Petals Floral & Gifts has outgrown their old location, a small building next to the Helmuth’s farm house home one-mile west of Kalona. Petals opened in 2012.
“We ran out of space,” Amy said. “We needed more showroom, more parking which is now doubled, and better visibility off Highway 1.”
“ We are planning a Grand Opening for February 8 and 9, just prior to Valentine’s Day,” she added.
“We strive everyday to serve and meet the floral needs of the community including funerals, weddings, holidays, or whatever occasion may arise,” she pointed out. “We make every arrangement unique and special for you.”
“ We deliver daily to Kalona, Wellman and surrounding community,” she added.
Gift and Antiques
Petals carries a wide variety of gifts, decorations, antiques and unique gifts for your home. “We carry many gifts that are made locally for all occasions and seasons,” Amy noted. “Our antique furniture adds a fun flair to the store.”
“We are very excited to be in our new location, closer to downtown,” Amy said. “We invite you to stop in and look over our new location and additional floral and gift items.”
Petals Floral and Gifts is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
