This year’s quilt for the Annual Quilt Raffle is now on display in the Kalona Area Chamber of Commerce office. It is titled “Starry Patch” and  comes from the Woodin Wheel Antique shop, 515 B Avenue.

Woodin Wheel co-owner Katie Karnes said the locally made quilt comes from the store’s selection of over 300 hand made quilts from quilters from Iowa and bordering states. In addition Woodin Wheel has a good selection of Amish and antique quilts and is considered the largest retailer of American made, hand-quilted quilts in the Midwest.

Katie points out that Woodin Wheel Antiques has much more then quilts. There is a large selection of antiques, gift items, locally made soaps and candles plus lotions fro the Amanas. The store has the largest selection of Jim Shore items, especially holiday themed items.

Woodin Wheel has a large selection of Hawkeye and Iowa State branded items plus a good selection of 2 for $1 greeting cards.
