Over 200 new and antique quilts will be on display and for sale at the 48th Annual Kalona Quilt Show and Sale on April 25, 26 and 27.
The Quilt show will move to the new Kalona Community Center –YMCA gym this year. There will be a gift shop plus various quilts will be up for raffle from the Kalona Historical Village and Kalona Area Chamber of Commerce.
The show and sale gets underway Thursday evening, April 25, with Early Bird show from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers, such as those from the Kalona Rotary Club, help make the quilt show a success by helping set up and tear down the quilts.
All the quilts and wall hangings on display are for sale and are hand quilted by quilters in Iowa and surrounding states. Show managers are Brenda Herington and Katie Karnes of Woodin Wheel Antiques.

The Kalona Historical Village will be hosting a Handmade and Vintage craft show and sale onFriday, April 26. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 27 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Village Welcome Center, 715 D Avenue.

Kalona Baskets Raffle
Kalona merchants will also be having a raffle on two baskets filled with special items from Kalona. You will be able to pick up your raffle card at either the Quilt Show or Handmade and Vintage show or any participating merchant. You will need to have at least eight participating Kalona merchants stamp or punch the card to qualify. No purchase required. Winners will be notified the Wednesday after the Quilt show.
